Author Information for REG studies
REG are committed to publishing the results of all REG projects in peer-reviewed journals. Authors of REG studies, or studies where REG is a collaborative partner are asked to acknowledge REG, and follow some simple recommendations as follows:
Author list
- Include “on behalf of REG” or “on behalf of the REG xxx working group” if initiated and/or funded by REG
- Include “in collaboration with REG” if investigator-initiated and REG-supported
Methods
- Include details of the ADEPT, ENCePP, PROSPERO or other registration number as applicable.
Acknowledgements
- If a study is initiated and/or funded by REG, the acknowledgements should specify “conducted by the Respiratory Effectiveness Group (REG; regresearchnetwork.org)”. A funding statement should also be included.
- If a paper is conducted by a non-REG team, but REG supported the study, REG should be acknowledged with wording such as “project management support was provided by the Respiratory Effectiveness Group (REG; regresearchnetwork.org/)”
