Work Plan
The IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis) / ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) Working Group’s work assesses the natural history, diagnostic and treatment approaches in IPF/ILD. With the introduction of licenced therapies for IPF there is a greater need for earlier and more accurate diagnosis of IPF. Therefore the group has undertaken a phase I project to understand diagnostic practice in ILD on a global scale. The project, which included 457 ILD treating centres from 64 countries showed that the gold standard multidisciplinary team approach to ILD diagnosis appears widely adopted in routine care, across all participating countries, income and care settings.
